The ATHENA Leadership Model is the philosophy and framework for everything we do. The eight principles of leadership that it sets out are proven, specific and actionable. With immense gratitude, we believe that it will be through leaders, who intentionally embrace and develop their capacity to lead, that our next generation will learn to live by the following principles:
Becoming ATHENA: PROGRAMS All of our Becoming ATHENA programs are built on the foundation of the ATHENA Leadership Model. All programs are delivered by ATHENA International certified facilitators either virtually or in-person.
Becoming ATHENA: Understanding te ATHENA Leadership Principles For Professionals – ATHENA 1.0 This program is designed for all leaders; those who are developing as well as those leaders who want to mature their level of leadership and/or who are interested in growing their leadership team. This 8-session program can be delivered virtually or in-person. It brings participants together in a community of collaboration and support to learn how to recognize and become familiar with the ATHENA leadership principles. This inclusive environment engages participants in deep conversations surrounding the ALM. Through this program each participant discovers their own truths and transforms elements of their entire lives both personally and professionally. Additionally, participants embrace one another's unique strengths, while simultaneously enhancing their own authentic leadership skills and abilities. A unique potential of the virtual version of this program is the opportunity to connect, learn from, and build relationships with other women leaders from around the world. Becoming ATHENA: Applying the ATHENA Leadership Principles For Professionals – ATHENA 2.0 This program takes those who have been through Understanding the ALM on a journey of continued growth and a deeper understanding as they work to live the principles in their personal and professional lives. It offers participants the opportunity to go further in their application and execution of the 8 principles of enlightened leadership in order to transform their personal, organizational or community projects. It offers additional assessments, deeper discussions and specific projects that allow participants to consciously use the principles in their daily lives. Becoming ATHENA: Understanding the ATHENA Leadership Principles for College: In addition, the focus on the ATHENA Leadership Model can be grown into a college campus club or co-curricular program that engages students throughout the year in leadership programming. For example, Olivet College’s (OC) Women’s Leadership Institute is entirely built on the foundation of our ATHENA Leadership Model and over a 4 year period has positively impacted over 1500 participants. Olivet College has conducted transformational Middle School & High School leadership camps, where 95 % of all campers felt the eight ATHENA International core principles had helped them gain more knowledge about their unique leadership capabilities. This program utilizes our College program and focuses on High School students. Similar to our College program, this program can be delivered virtually or in-person or built into a local club, group or individual school. Included in the program license is certification of your local Facilitator If you would prefer an external certified facilitator, at additional cost, ATHENA will provide necessary recommendations and connections.
